Following the tradition of the conference series that was established in Warwick in 1997, the international committee would like to invite you to join the 5th ECPLF conference. The conference will be held from 11th to 14th July 2011 at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, in the Czech Republic. This conference strives to provide researchers and professionals with the opportunity to build connections between and among different precision livestock farming areas. The conference language is English.
The conference is co-organized with the 8th ECPA, the 8th EFITA/WCCA, the 17th ISAF conferences as there is an established tradition of bringing ECPA and ECPLF together.
After two years (Wageningen 2009), we are having again the opportunity to bring the world of specialists in agriculture together. The conferences will offer a unique insight into the most recent research and development in precision livestock farming. At the same time, the latest scientific results from worldwide research, field studies and practical application of these new technologies will be presented.
The main topics are as follows:
- Sensor and sensing (e.g image, sound,..) technology and data collection
- Modeling
- Management and decision support (from process to chain)
- Robotics and advanced process control
- PLF in socio, economic and ethical context
- Practical experiments in dairy, pigs, poultry, aquaculture, equine and grassland
